The second Fry's Sunnyvale location embraced a "History of Computers" theme, paying tribute to Silicon Valley as the birthplace of the computer technology industry, as well as the birthplace of Fry's. The store's design prominently featured a sine wave motif, visible on the exterior sign, the checkout counter railing, and a large metal sculpture that hung from the ceiling. Inside, large photos and exhibits showcased key figures and milestones in computer history.
